In order to send emails from your personal Gmail, you need to create an Application Password. This is because Google does not have access to CNet passwords in any way, shape, or form.
- Login to your Booth Gmail
- Click your profile button in the upper-right
- Click Manage your Google Account
- Click Security on the left side, then 2-Step Verification
- If 2-Step Verification is not turned on, follow the prompts to turn that option on.
- Scroll to the bottom of the 2-Step Verification page and you will see the App passwords section
- Click the arrow to the right of App passwords
- In the next page, click the Select app and select the appropriate option and the same for Select device. (These do not affect the generation of the password)
- Click Generate
- You will get a window with an app password. Note this down, as when you close the window, Google will NOT show this password again.
- In your personal Gmail, click the gear in the upper-right.
- Select See all settings from the screen that pops out from the right
- Select the Accounts and Import tab.
- Scroll down to the Send mail as: section, and select Add another email address
- Change your name if desired, and enter your Booth email address in the box. Leave the Treat as an alias box checked
- Click Next Step >>
- Here is the information you need for the next screen:
- SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
- Port: 587
- Username: should already contain your Booth email address
- Password: the App Password you generated in step 10
- Leave the last option, Secured connection using TLS at that setting
- Click Add Account>>
- You will get an email with a verification code and a link (you can use either to verify your account)
- Once verified, you will be able to send as your Booth email from your personal Gmail account.
