Booth Virtual Machine - MacOS

Summary

Instructions for MacOS users to access the Booth Virtual Machine that has software packages as Palisades installed (tools including @RISK, StatTools, TopRank, NeuralTools, Evolver, and PrecisionTree)

Note that the VPN must be connected in order to access the Virtual Machine.

Body

Booth Virtual Machine for use of Palisade or other software (VPN Required)

  1. If you have not done so already, download the Windows App (previously the Microsoft Remote Desktop App) from the App StoreUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Start the program, and click on Add PCUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Fill in the fields as shown in the screen below
    Use: bushpalisade02.chicagobooth.eduUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Click Add
  5. Double-Click the machine that was created
  6. Enter your username as adlocal\CNetID where CNetID is what you use to login to the Intranet, Email, and other University resourcesUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. If you get the below message, click ContinueUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  8. You should now be in your Virtual Machine

NOTE: Be sure to click the Logoff.exe icon when you are done using the machine!
