Qualtrics Email FAQ

Summary

FAQ detailing the impact to Qualtrics from the recent email changes being implemented by Google and Yahoo.

Body

Q: Will I be able to send emails from the Qualtrics platform using a chicagobooth.edu “from” address after Jan. 31?

A: No, this feature will be disabled, in order to maintain compliance with rules designed to reduce spam and phishing attacks.

Q: What email address should be in the "From:" field?

A: "noreply@chicagoboothresearch.org" OR "noreply@qemailserver.com"

Q: Will sending emails “from” a no-reply address change my survey responses?

A: No (we do not expect so). University of Chicago Institutional Analysis always distributes large and small-scale surveys using the default method described above, which is also the Qualtrics-recommended method. They have determined that any effect on email visibility to recipients is negligeable.

Q: I have a survey that must come from a chicagobooth.edu address. Will there be any way of doing this after Jan. 31?

A: Yes, a work around is to export survey links from Qualtrics and merge them into emails using a separate university email solution. If you need more information on this method, please contact the Booth Help Desk.

Q: I have a question not listed above: who can I contact?

A: Please contact the Booth Help Desk
