Requesting a WRDS Account

All faculty and students who need access to WRDS will need to request an account. Follow the steps below to submit your request.

Access WRDS

• Open a web browser.
• Point it to: https://wrds-www.wharton.upenn.edu/pages/
• Click on the Register for a WRDS Account link.
• Enter the information as in the screenshot below.

Please note the following:

• Select University of Chicago - Booth School of Business from the Subscriber dropdown.
• Select Masters / Undergraduate Student or Ph.D. from the User type dropdown.
• Your Booth email address must be entered in the Email field. Entering an address other than your Booth email address will result in a delay!
• Enter your Booth Concentration name (e.g., Finance) in the Department field, otherwise enter "Unknown".
